Achievements of Our Students at International Conferences

Students of the Department of Czech Language are actively engaging in academic life this year and presenting the results of their research at domestic and international conferences and workshops.

On 1–3 May 2026, Kristýna Švehlíková presented a co-authored paper together with Marcin Wągiel at the conference Formal Approaches to Slavic Linguistics 35 (FASL 35), hosted by the University of California, Santa Cruz. The presentation took place online. The conference programme is available here.

Kristýna Švehlíková will also present another co-authored paper (with Marcin Wągiel) in Paris on 18–19 June 2026 at the Workshop on Aspect and Argument Structure of Adverbs/Adjectives and Prepositions/Participles (WAASAP 7), organised by CNRS and Université Paris 8. Another student presentation will take place on 4–5 June 2026 at Linguistics Prague 2026, hosted by the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Karolína Kovácsová will present her paper there. The programme and further information about the conference are available here.

Students of the Department also presented their research last year. On 23–24 October 2025, Kristýna Švehlíková presented a co-authored paper (with Marcin Wągiel) at the workshop The Aspectual Architecture of the Slavic Verb: Analogies in Other Languages and Other Grammatical Domains 2, held at Leipzig University in Germany. On 22–24 September 2025, Jakub Hemala presented his paper at the conference Formal Description of Slavic Languages (FDSL 18), hosted by the University of Wrocław in Poland. The conference programme is available here.
